1991年东南大学自控系本科毕业;2001年清华大学博士毕业,留校任教。2005年清华大学电机系副教授,2010年清华大学电机系教授、博导。主要从事无损检测、电磁测量等领域的教学和研究工作,长期在跨学科层次上从事关键基础科学问题的研究。近年来,主要从事在役设施活动缺陷检测领域的研究工作。理论研究与实际应用并重,所研发的油气管道缺陷在线内检测器应用在中石油、中石化和中海油,以及国外众多检测工程中,累计检测油气管道2万多公里,国内检测工程市场占有率达到50%以上,并使国产油气管道检测设备首次走出国门。打破国外技术垄断,首次实现了海底油气管道缺陷在线内检测。主持1项国家重大科学仪器设备开发专项项目和3项国家自然科学基金,主持863专项项目、铁道部重点项目、国家科技支撑计划课题和国际合作项目多项。获得省部级和行业科技奖励10余次。以第一作者出版专著4本、教材2本。发表论文200多篇,被SCI检索40余篇,EI收录90多篇。获发明专利20余项。
